Meetings, Retreats & Camps

Is it time to plan your annual company meeting or hold that team training program? The Ararat Center, located on the edge of the picturesque Catskill Mountains, provides the ideal environment in which to bring people together to share ideas and plan for the working days ahead.

From business meetings, to educational seminars, to small professional conferences and leadership training programs... the Ararat Center will meet your needs for meeting rooms, equipment, comfortable accommodations and excellent meals.

An industrial kitchen is attached to a well-maintained dining room with built-in audio equipment. And a recreation hall holds a big screen projection television. The dining room, recreation hall, and now newly-built pavilion with classrooms can serve as assembly spots for larger meetings, classes, or even team building activities. There are also smaller common rooms for those more intimate gatherings.

Need a break from your hectic life for a few days? Want to spend a quiet week in the mountains with your family or friends? Then simply let your spirit soar as you relax and retreat in the serene environment of the Ararat Center.

“During our weekend retreat last September, the seminarians were able to take the time they needed to reenergize themselves in a peaceful setting,” explained Fr. Daniel Findikyan, Dean of the St. Nersess Armenian Seminary in New Rochelle, NY. “The Ararat Center proved to be the perfect location to unwind while mentally, spiritually and physically preparing for the challenging school year ahead.”

The Ararat Center can accommodate individuals, small groups, or even larger organizations. Whether you are organizing a retreat for 15 people or up to 140, we can make your time at the Ararat Center personal, relaxing and special.

We also offer a variety of indoor and outdoor wholesome family oriented activities, and will provide three meals tailored to your daily schedule.

Summer Camps

Does your youth group need a place for this year’s summer camp? Does your local team need a week of concentrated practice to get ready for the upcoming season?

No matter the age or activity, participants will no doubt enjoy the many camp-type opportunities of the Ararat Center. This facility is ideal for just about any type of program from week-long religious study groups to sports-oriented day camps.

The spacious grounds provide athletes the opportunity to train on their specific area of focus whether it is baseball, soccer or even swimming. Meeting rooms and other common gathering spots allow for cultural and spiritual growth.

The facility accommodates overnight camps for approximately 140 participants and staff depending on the room layout. In addition, three meals a day can be catered to your group’s dietary needs.

Currently the Ararat Center is the permanent home for the Diocese of the Armenian Church’s youth camp program.
