General Information

The Ararat Center, situated on 65 acres just 30 miles south of Albany, NY, is anchored by several different buildings which can accommodate up to 140 people in a variety of room types, dependent upon the program. Some buildings include air-conditioning and heat, as well as private baths and cable television. The newly-constructed pavilion with attached classrooms also proves the perfect setting for picnics, graduations, receptions, and meeting space.

Our operating season runs from May 1 through the end of October.

Accommodations

Several different buildings can accommodate up to 140 people in a variety of room types, dependent upon the program.  We offer single, double, queen and limited king-sized beds in rooms with private baths, air-conditioning, heat and cable television.  We also have bunk beds in dormitory-styled rooms.  Many of guest rooms have been recently refreshed with updated bedding to provide added comfort.  Towels and sheets are provided, along with daily cleaning.

Catering/Dining

Our onsite licensed food handler can provide up to three delicious, well-balanced meals a day catered to your group’s specific dietary needs and served in a relaxed dining room setting.  Barbecues under the large pavilion may also be requested.

 

 

 

 

Recreation

The Ararat Center spreads across 65 countryside acres on the edge of the scenic Catskill Mountains of Upstate New York. Just about any type of indoor or outdoor recreational activity can be held on the grounds of this facility.

There is an assortment of seasonal outdoor activities offered in the Catskills, whether it is skiing, snow mobiling and skating in the winter or hiking, canoeing, horseback riding, and swimming in the summer, or simply viewing the exquisite colors of the trees in the spring and fall.

In addition, Greene and Albany Counties host a kaleidoscope of cultural and historic offerings from concerts and outdoor festivals, to antique auctions, museums and performing arts centers.

And for the young children, let’s not forget the game farm and waterslide park.

There is something for everyone in the area as individuals and families return again and again to take in the splendor of the area.
